Anyone know what is going on?  Saw a Facebook post about Engine 15 and Glass Factory having to close due to a code violation.

Hopefully its nothing major, but they've been closed for a week now.  One of my favorite places in Jax.
So I said to him: Arthur, Artie come on, why does the salesman have to die? Change the title; The life of a salesman. That's what people want to see.

Why is this a thing? If it's not a safety issue and it can be resolved, why shut down a business???

I was there last friday when they got shot down.  A fire code inspector was there and two very grumpy looking plain clothes sheriffs.  We were told to close our tabs and leave ASAP.  As we were walking out, the inspector was carrying a huge binder in to discuss the violations I guess.

Appears to have been the Glass Factory next door.  Looks like they have reopened.  Apparently City messed up, approving their rezoning without telling Fire Marshall.  A few technical fixes but they should be alright.  Don't see any mention of Engine 15.  I had heard owners think whatever problems they encountered will be behind them shortly.  I don't understand how the City can give a certificate of occupancy and then come back with overlooked items and demand an immediate interruption to a business like this.  Am I missing something?

COJ is a mess. Best people they have are the folks who pick up trash.....  They deserve a raise.
The Real Estate Division, IMO,  is clueless.
