They don't build urban stations but they want to serve the urban core:

They have plenty of urban stores in the Philly area (a few of which were looted / ransacked in the superbowl celebration)

Gas stations or convenience stores without pumps? They're looking for gas station locations here.

The ones in Philly are convenience stores without pumps.

The ones in Philly are Deli's with a convenience store.

I haven't been impressed with the Wawas that I've been to. If I could pick, I'd rather have one of the new Gate or Daily's stations in Springfield. An urban, pumps in the back design would be nice, but I doubt that will happen. The lot at 2nd and Main might work.

A decade from now I hope to not still be putting gas in our cars, but in the meantime it would be nice to have a gas station near the house that my wife feels comfortable going to.

They need 2 acres on an intersection?  That's gonna be hard to find in Springfield.  Lake do know what the budget is for that kind of parcel?

I sure as hell have. Loved them in Philly, love them here.

And I'm not sure there's any place in Florida where their non-gas station concept works. The east side of Main Street, just one building north of 8th -- isn't that lot still empty? Looks like a good spot for them.

A block between State & Union (like the old bank drive through on Laura Street or the Sax Seafood site) would make the most sense, given the amount of traffic and central location. However, I'm not sure of the asking prices.

That lot was about one acre, and it did sell a few month ago for about $150,000. IMO a really good price.

East 7th n main is a perfect spot to place a Wawa's or daily's there's a small eyesore it would feed Wells Fargo, the bank, the pawn shops and,, or,, feed the bars n ale places in the area.
How about 8th and Florida Ave. Great spacing n u can even build a strip mall to connect that runs to phoenix Ave.

All I want for Christmas is a wallgreens or CVS in the greater downtown area. That's literally all I ask. Everything else is the cherry on top. It's not like there's no space...

I think the space is there and that's not the concern (for the walgreens), people is the concern, i.e., customers.

I think the Jaxx (Sax?) site would good. Close to the Interstate, and will get some City land back on the tax rolls.
