Recommendations for After Party Venue

Jacksonville Touch Rugby is hosting its second annual Florida Touch Open tournament on July 29th and we are expeditiously searching for a venue to host the after party. Need some place that is good for 50-100 sweaty players, offers food and beer, and the clincher would be if they can sponsor us with a small percentage of sales or something.

Culhane's would be the default rugby bar, the only issue being that we have a coaches clinic Fri night and another skills clinic on Sunday morning and along with the Sat tourney all three events will be close to downtown so having the after party (and subsequently the hotels) at the beaches would make for a lot of driving for our out of town guests.

Anyone know anybody who'd be interested??

You may want to talk to Steve Williams about using the Second Floor/Hoptinger.  I don't know if Hoptinger caters events at the Second Floor, but Steve may be willing to work with you on some options.

The event space (I can't remember the name right now) at Forsyth and Lee Streets, near the Prime Osborn is decent for a private event.

Intuition Ale Works/Black Sheep do a great job at hosting events that size. The prices are rather reasonable too.

Well if it's a Rugby Club you should get a Dentist and an Orthopedic surgeon to sponsor you. 8)

Thanks for the replies. To be clear, I am not looking for a private event space. Just looking for a good site to bring a bunch of people, with the potential for a small financial benefit to the club. I'll try Intuition, makes sense to reach out to them. Hoptinger could be good as well, although I worry about parking on Sat evening for 50-100 out of towners (gasp...did I say parking???)

Maybe get in touch with Jon or Allan and see if them opening up Bellwether for an evening would be a possibility.

50-100 would be a packed house for a single service and I'm confident that you guys could come to some sort of agreement over $$$, menu and what not.
