What a nail-biter!  Two weeks in a row the last minutes of the game have kept me on the edge of my seat.

I have to give it to the Jones'.  Matt stepped up this season and is looking fantastic, and Greg is killing it too.

Khalif Barnes has been terrific this year. In the first four games, he has lined up against Kyle Vanden Bosch, Aaron Schoebel, Dwight Freeney and Mario Williams. He has stopped all four.

Barnes is in a contract year and playing like it.....He has the tools to be one of the best LT's in the nfl

Go Jags!!!!!!!

Can peeps quit hatin' on Garrard, and M. Jones now???The heat is on Lewis (butterfingers) as far as I'm concerned.

Jason

Lewis has been in a rut.  Garrard and Matt Jones are connecting like crazy!  I take back all the smack I've talked about Matt Jones, he is really showing his skills and its paying off big time.

Didn't see the game....Is Houston that good or is Jacksonville's defense that bad?? That score is too close for comfort.

The Heat is on the lack of defense this year and especially in that game. I was there and so far the offense has put the team in a winning position and then the lack of defense has allowed the opponet to march right down and score and I do mean march right down and score. It was good to see some life back in the offense. I guess Porter is not at full strength since they played it safe with him. As for the offense will still need teams to fear Garrads running ability and throwing ability. These recievers we have must get better and start earning their pay, but none of this will matter because with no defense and no pressure on the opponets QB,, Jags are going no where. The terrible towels are next, the Jags always play well againts the steelers lets hope they do next week.. Go Jags

Easy. A little of both. Texans are better than their record...they had to deal with the hurricane...and they seem to get up for us all the time. That said, the defense has got to improve. Still no pass rush from the down linemen and when we blitz, it rarely gets home. We were without Justin Durant and Reggie Nelson, and missing Mathis for a substantial period, so that may have had something to do with it. But honestly, something needs to change. Maybe it's just taking the defense time to adjust to a new coordinator, the same way the offense did last season.

Jason

Ditto that.  The defensehas been struggling because of all of the injuries.  Also, Houston has a knack for exposing the worst in the Jags and giving them hell every time they play.  I'm just glad the Jags came out on top in this one.

Looking forward to next week's game!

We are catching the Steelers at a good time. Their starting running back Willie Parker has been hurt. His two backups both got hurt. They are down to their fourth string runner. And their o-line is weak and just lost their best player for the year. The Jags weak pass rush should get a boost.

TE on LB, that was what houston exposed. There was no way ingram could cover their TE's. Every time they lined a TE up in the slot and ran the seam or crossing route, it was open every time. Then in the 4th qtr the jags tried to get brian williams to pick up the TE on the crossing route and he was late getting their and they got 35 yards out of it.

Porter was also open a lot, he lined up in the slot and beat the LB everytime, we just didnt get him the ball.

Yeah, Rashean was out most of the game, and of course R. Nelson was out; If it's any complainin' about the defense, it should be directed to the lack of pass rush; It's too easy to blame CB's when the DT's and DE's aren't gettin' to the QB. We has some VERY inexperienced fill-in in the secondary, so I would'nt worry about that when #27 and them get back in the line-up. IMO the secondary's only horrible game was the Houston game; They didn't give up alotta points in the TEN, BUF, and IND games. Again, our front four gotta get to the QB (five sacks in four games isn't enough), for any major success in the secondary to be prevalent; I don't care if you got Deion, and A. Willams in their prime; No pass rush is a recipe for disaster.

I- 10 East your right if the QB is back there doing a Brady imitation the receivers will eventually get open. DG seems to be gaining more confident in his throws again. I hope Porter is used more. Its time to start going deep and the other defense wont be able to stack the line like they have been doing as they will have to respect the pass as well. I hope we crush the Steelers. Go Jags bka cardiac cats.
