Alright i'm exhausted from the partisan bickering, just trying to lighten it up a bit. I will say it seems McCain/Palin supporters do get a raw deal in terms of their stops in Jacksonville. It's always on a early weekday morning when most people can't attend.

I actually went to this, but will refrain from posting anythign here since already it is getting slammed

David

No no no, keep posting uptown girl. I think we're all mature here and can save the heated political debates for our family members.

She was very relaxed today. Focused on McCain's positives and Obama's negatives. Lots of families came with their children.

QuotePalin says she, McCain would impose spending freeze on national budget

JACKSONVILLE - Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin said today that she and John McCain would impose a spending freeze on the national budget and review every federal agency to ensure it was needed.

Those that weren't, she said, would be eliminated. She offered no examples of which agencies might be axed. Palin promised to balance the budget and "get our economy back on track." She provided few details how a McCain administration would that.

Palin also went after Democrat Barack Obama, saying he hasn't been honest about his relationship with William Ayers, a university professor who, in the 1960s, helped form the radical group The Weather Underground.

i wonder how much per plate?

Last I saw it was a minimum donation of $500

She is speaking for free at the Landing.  Interesting distortion though.

Here is an update on the rally:

Sorry about the misinformation. I didn't know she was going to be at the landing also.

From FirstCoastNews.com:

"JACKSONVILLE, FL -- Alaska governor Sarah Palin is coming to Jacksonville for a rally and a fundraiser next week.

The Republican nominee for vice president will be on the First Coast Tuesday, October 7. She's speaking at the West Club of Jacksonville Municipal Stadium.

The event begins at Noon.

There is a $500 minimum contribution."

No problem.  My response made me sound more upset than was the case.  I just wanted to set the record straight.   :)
