Yes. An act of congress? I honestly don't know. Maybe someone that is more business savvy does. I'd like to see a lot of stuff come here. Red Robin, Hot Dog on A Stick, an aquarium, amusement park, entertainment museum etc. More bookstores in areas that need them. More coffee shops in those same areas. But yea, a hard rock would be very cool.

Red Robin is slated to open in Avenues Walk so is California Pizza Kitchen.  So I guess there is some hope for Jacksonville.

Hard Rock just seems to be a tourist destination more than anything else, so I guess Jacksonville would need to become more tourist oriented before we are even considered for one.

no...as in the development being built across Phillips Hwy from the mall!

Any news on when this place might be open for business? Are they leaving open possible plans for condos or have the residential units been scratched completely?

Jax already has a Hard Rock Cafe - the current scene at the Landing. Almost identical to what I've seen at Seminole Casino in Lauderdale.

Family-friendly and active young adult destinations are what's needed here.

Avenues Walk should have some apts and condos there as well. I don't know when it will officially open , but I imagine it will probably open late summer of next year.

yuck.  no thanks.  i'd much rather have locally owned restaurants with food i'd like to eat.

The Hard Rock makes me feel all dead inside. Just for thinking about it I'm gonna have to go to The Fox for a big ass burger now to fill the void of my departed soul...Thanks guys...

If Destin Florida can get one I know Jacksonville should have one and can get one.  Oh yes I would be interested and would drive 200 miles just to go to the one in Jacksonville.  I think it would be a big hit and it would need and must go downtown, no other place!

Well if it ever does come to Jax it will come the SJTC, not downtown.  Maybe the beaches.

Honestly, I am surprised that Fuddruckers is coming to the Landing.

Why hope for some vapid chain to colonize our town when we should be coming up with our unique, local restaurants?
