...both in Brooklyn, and their location near JTB & I95.

Brooklyn location seemed well patronized. Too bad.

The one at JTB didn't seem to be busy. I'm sure someone else will jump at the chance of getting the Brooklyn space.

I hate to see stores close and folks lose work but Corner Bakery never really did anything for me. The couple of times I ate there, it wasn't bad but there wasn't much remarkable about it either- other than breakfast, they reminded me a lot of Panera- I think I had soup both times I went and overall, I'd prefer Panera.

The franchisee closed both locations, Brooklyn and Southside. Franchisee was probably in the wrong business, this has been a long time coming. Brooklyn location will be back filled quickly with a new breakfast/lunch oriented business.

Agreed. It seemed like a dulled down Panera and there wasn't really anything on the menu that made me want to go back.

Meeting up with some people at Brooklyn Station to head to the Jags game. There's been a steady stream of people just realizing Corner Bakery has closed. With that said, I agree with everyone else. Other than being an easy to find location for morning meetings, I was never impressed with the food.

The location in Brooklyn would do well as a Metro Diner, Another Broken Egg Cafe, or a place that specializes in breakfast/brunch.

I don't know the reason why both locations closed but I do know that the owner/operator has extensive experience with running similar franchisee operations from here to Orlando.

Hopefully, there will be a good replacement there soon. I know The Loop was looking for a new location. That would be a good spot for them.

I liked it.  The eggs Anaheim were my go to order.

People calling it a lesser Panera are being too kind to Panera. I didn't love Corner Bakery, but it was nowhere near as awful as Panera.

Vulgar Display of Power was pretty amazing - though I lost interest after that album.

While I was typing that post on my phone, it tried to autocorrect it as Pantera

Lol. I agree that CB wasn't good enough to really go back to. I feel like its one of those places that does well in urban or mall type environments but not in standalone places like in Brooklyn, Jax.

Every time I see the word "Panera" I read it as "Pantera". Well, almost every time. Would be a bit pathetic if I was still struggling, this far into a thread.
