When did the Gator Bowl Sports step in and start running the boat light parade?

Jax found another way to eff up a fun event downtown... between the collapsed riverwalk and the venue change... not gonna get a river view room for over $300 at the Hyatt.  A big giant Meh... for this formerly fun downtown event.

Where do you get that the Boat Light Parade won't be visible from the Hyatt or Riverwalks? The only mention of where it will be is a comment that it showcases the river and downtown skyline.

the move is being done because the Gator Bowl is on December 31, instead of January 1 or 2.  I am completely fine with the move, as it will offer another event for visitors (as well as locals)

The boat parade event was a pre Christmas event held last week of November. Large crowds watched from the landing to past the Hyatt. The Riverwalk is closed to pedestrians for a large portion of the walk.  The Hyatt has tripled room prices for this...
