I never full answered the question - Best Sports Movie ever?  I would have to go with He Got Game.  A Spike Lee classic.  Ray Allen, Denzel Washington and Milla Jovovich in a beautiful father/son story set against a bluechip basketball player's decision to go pro or play play for the state university.
