Kansas City streetcar opens to great crowds



KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Residents and visitors are turning out by the thousands Friday for the Kansas City Streetcar grand opening party. The free celebration includes music, fireworks, carnival rides, and – of course – free streetcar rides. The party runs through Saturday.

The streetcar route follows Main Street north from Union Station to Third Street, near the riverfront, and has nine stops.
