First Coast Connect will not air tomorrow morning. In its place, we'll present the inaugural episode of WJCT's quarterly program Faith Matters.

Hosted by Nancy Broner, Executive Director of UNF's OneJax Institute, and Kyle Reese, OneJax Board Chair and Senor Pastor at Hendricks Avenue Baptist Church, this program explores today's most pressing issues through the lens of faith.

Thursday: October 22, 2015

Thursday we'll examine the concept of forgiveness.

Reverend Tony Hansberry, of the Suwanee-North Jacksonville District of the African Methodist Episcopal Church, joins us to look at the role forgiveness is playing in how the church is healing after the shooting of nine members of the Charleston, SC, congregation earlier this year.

Then later, we'll discuss the idea of forgiveness in various faith traditions with a roundtable of local religious leaders:
Reverend Kate Moorehead, Dean of St. John's Episcopal Cathedral
Dr. Parvez Ahmed, leader in the Northeast Florida Islamic community and professor at the University of North Florida
And Rabbi Matt Cohen, Assistant Rabbi of the Congregation Ahavath Chesed - The Temple

TheCat, do you think you start posting these a bit earlier? Sounds like a good show today.
Do you believe that when the blue jay or another bird sings and the body is trembling, that is a signal that people are coming or something important is about to happen?
