Chinese wings

Fortune Chinese restaurant used to be on Normandy Boulevard in the Food Lion shopping center, he had very strange wings when they were cooked they were not breaded they came out black colored very juicy very delicious Have been trying to find them ever since. The owners name was Michael he closed down suddenly after being robbed one night. Does anyone remember this or know where I can get these wings the marinade starter he said it was over a 100years old. Kind of like like making sourdough or friendship bread every time you make a batch he would take some and hold it to the side as the starter for his next batch.
