So many times (not just here) "the Baptists" are denigrated.  I thought this was a refreshing news piece on how they reached out during the flooding in Iowa.  Being a baptist at heart, I can vouch that this is the spirit of a baptist.

Quote
As soon as they learned the unprecedented flood damages of Iowa, people from Alabama Baptist Convention rushed to the help of those still suffering.

A 50-member disaster relief team came with all the equipment and flood stuff to provide tens of thousands of free quality meals a day. Trucks of equipment and food stuffs are hosted by All Nations Baptist Church.

Red Cross people are working closely together with Alabama Baptist Convention to feed those in need. Displaced families and others in need are requested to call Red Cross at 319-393-3500.
