A friend of mine on FB from central FL just posted a video of a highway near Ocala or Lakeland or somewhere around there where there must have been hundreds of trucks and SUVs stopped before an exit, each one proudly carrying the confederate flag.  Honestly, to me, it was terrifying and exactly why I tend to avoid travel to entire regions of the country where this sort of thing exists (including my own hometown of Jax), but I had other friends on FB that seemed to view the video favorably (which is even more terrifying).

What's crazier is that it took about a million shootings and tragedies in the past 2 years for this to even be considered an issue, and you STILL have people that want to keep the flags (which apparently aren't even the actual confederate flags) and stuff like this, because "history".

Speaking of, does that HUGE confederate flag still fly at the intersection of I-4 and I-75?

Caption says "Ocala not playin", but looks like it could be anywhere but SE FL.  I don't know the girl who took the video, but she's from Naples, which despite being south FL, is not an area remotely immune from this culture either.  So many lifted trucks...just shellshock cultural difference than what I've been used to for a while now.  I'm not sure that's a cultural difference I want to ever adjust back to...  :o

If it has to be removed before some Nut damages it put it in the baker county history museum if they have one or sell it to the highest bidder. Or just leave it since it's been their since 2000. Some would others wouldn't care. But you talk to people away from the cities and you will find that a lot feel removing the Confederate Flag is just Stupid. ::) I have a cookbook that is called White Trash Cooking that I believe sold a lot of copies. Blacks in general believe that only White people can be racist? Which is BS to me. Stephendare have you seen the trouble that has kicked up. Because of the removing of the Confederate Flag. Protest here and there some ugly some peaceful. When does the Federal Government start charging people with a Hate Crime just for flying their own Confederate Flag?
