A nice little video about the history of film in Jax was made by Vox recently. They highlighted the silent film era and had some views of Norman Studios while also covering some of the local politics during that time:

If you was to ask me around the Y2K era "Jax voters of the past would retroactively give 'Jaxsonwood' the green light", I would've said absolutely! Now in 2019 and I know what I know about Hollywood, and it's many pernicious ways, no way! Hollywood has turned many people (that aren't activistic hammer & sickle p*ssy-hat wearers) away.
