For those of you who've been considering taking transit. Here are some rules to help you out:

QuoteJust like love, public transportation can be a battlefield. There are so many obstacles and potential enemies surrounding you that it's almost hard not to become a casualty of commuter rage. During peak rush hour, when the buses are crowded and tensions are high, it can feel like an all-out assault on your physical being. People push you, take up all the seats and talk way too loudly.

Even I've been tempted to throw a few elbows at these rude passengers, but I realized that giving into aggression will perpetuate the war. Instead, all I can do is follow some simple bus do's and don'ts, and hope that my civilized behavior will inspire others to do the same.

So the next time you're wedged up against a window, in between a screaming baby and a guy still dripping sweat from the gym, pull out this handy list of dos and don'ts. It's just common courtesy.
