UNF's RPI elevated with its win of the A-Sun Tournament to 166.

Because of this Joe Lunardi of ESPN bracket predictions now has UNF playing #1 seed Duke in the Charlotte Regional.

UNF's predicted slot is going to change several more times as the smaller Div 1 conferences wrap up their tournaments.

Robert Morris upset St Francis Brooklyn in the NEC which favors UNF.  SF had an RPI of 161 and RM has an RPI of 190.

This means that UNF "moves up" in the seeding brackets technically as relatively weaker teams win their tourneys.

Another game that can impact the Ospreys bracket is who will win the Big Sky Tournament. 4 teams have a shot and Northern Arizona is the wild card. If they upset and win it, it will move the Ospreys up a notch. At the moment Montana is favored and they have a very strong team thus far.

Manhattan beating Iona for the MAAC title also helped the Ospreys. Manhattan has had a history of being the team who upsets in the first round. A role I would like to see UNF play.

Having the A-Sun finish so soon does leave for some nail biting, but where this sorts out will be interesting.

It's actually 8. I saw some projections that had UNC and Louisville coming here.

I am torn between hoping UNF can climb to a #15 seed or hoping they can be the first #16 to upset a #1. Their chances increase dramatically if they're a #15, but they'd be etched forever in the history books if they win as a #16. A victory is a longshot either way (As is receiving a 15-seed anyway)

That would've caused plenty of outcry, as the top seeds are supposed to stay as close to home as possible. Only chance would've been if some school from Florida was a #1 seed, then perhaps you could allow UNF to stay at "home" also.

Unless Miami can do some major damage in the ACC tourney, it looks like UNF might be the only team from Florida to make the NCAA bracket.

The NCAA makes its formal selections for the brackets tomorrow.

With certain losses it is creating a great deal of bracket shifting in the predictions.

Virginias move down the bracket is causing changes for UNF.  Previously aligned against Duke, they have now been shifted to play Wisconsin in the West Region.

This is predicated Wisconsin can maintain its new #1 seeding after playing Michigan State tomorrow just before the brackets come out. If MSU defeats Wisconsin in the B10 final, this may shift the seedings again and send UNF back to the East Region.

The CBS Studio Analyst made a long mention of not taking "the Atlantic Sun for granted" today. As he put it, "they should not under estimate North Florida due to previous wins by Mercer and FGCU"
