Jax one of the Least Hacked Cities in Florida

While major Florida cities ranked as some of the most hacked in the nation, according to a recent article from Forbes, Jacksonville is not high on the list. A list of the top 20 infected cities in the U.S. by an Enigma Software Group USA LLC named Orlando, Tampa and Miami as some of the biggest victims of hacking in 2014. Tampa was the most hacked city in the U.S., at 561.81 percent higher than the national average, while Orlando trailed close behind at 386.91 percent more than the national average. Miami was 13th on the list.

Jacksonville, meanwhile, was nowhere to be found. While there is no clear cut explanation for a high rate of hacking, porn use and population growth could be some reasons why hacking varies significantly from state to state and from city to city. With a constantly growing population in Florida and over 800 new residents coming in every day between 2013 and 2014, population could be a likely candidate.
