Here's an interior shot of New Deal from 1948:

Another picture from The Crisis from 1942:

^^The ad, which includes a picture in front of the old train station, states their address was at 1175 Kings Road. That's the north side of Kings Road between Blanche and Eaverson Streets, near the S-Line. So roughly 1 mile NW of the Strand Theatre.

Btw, this 1942 Crisis magazine is pretty cool.  It shows some pretty nice looking sections of Sugar Hill, LaVilla, and the Northside during those neighborhood's heyday.

1. You have to upload the picture to an online photo host site like http://photobucket.com/

2. At that point, all you have to do to post on this forum is select the image icon (when making a reply) and insert the image's URL inside of the [ img ] brackets. It will look something like this... [ img ]cut_and_paste_image_URL_address_here.jpg[ /img ]

3. When that's done, the last thing you have to do is select the post button.

Looks like The New Deal Cab Co. had two locations (unless I'm misunderstanding something)

702 Ashley (Corner of Ashley & Jefferson)

&

1175 - 1185 Kings road

Or they moved throughout the years. The text makes it seem as if they moved from the heart of LaVilla to Kings Road around the early 1940s. The easiest way to confirm their location is to verify their addresses in the city directories at the main public library's special collections department.
