I was channel surfing last night and when I passed by the Weather Channel they had a picture of downtown Jacksonville...with the "Independent Life" building front and center.

How long ago did that go away?

I think even older.  1997 was when it switched to AccuStaff, before even Modis.  That was the year of the Jaguars' first Monday night game, and complaints at ABC for showing an already-outdated Independent Life shot during the game.

Granted, I still call it the Independent Life building and you can still see the "labelscar" of the letters if you look closely from the top of the Barnett/Bank of America building.
The tourist would realize at once that he had struck the Land of Flowers - the City Beautiful!

The downtown Jacksonville skyline hasn't changed in decades......not like the shot has changed.......lol

Can anyone tell what year this photo was taken? Or even which decade?
