I disagree that the 60's style has no class and looks dated.  I love the simplicity and sharpness.  No doubt the turn of the centry styling will remain a classic, but they are different breeds all together.

from an architecture fad standpoint, you might have been correct 15 years ago.  But the last decade or so has seen a fond appreciation and revival for the mid-century modern style.

True to form, Jacksonville will pick up on this about 10-15 years from now.
