New FSU President John Thrasher didn't turn away his first student meeting with a group of self described Progress Coalition "anti-Koch Brothers"  students.

Some considered the students almost disrespectful, but Thrasher said he is willing to have a dialog with them as long they can explain their issues to him.

Thrasher met with 25 members of FSU's Progress Coalition in a music rehearsal hall. The 8 a.m. meeting was as tense as his other interactions with the leftist student group: he didn't like their accusations and they didn't like his responses.

The beefs raised by the student group focused mostly on political donations made to Thrasher by the Koch Brothers.  Thrasher committed to researching it and following up with them on it.

Saw this on Facebook - Thrasher should pay the cost of the special election now needed to replace him in the Senate, because he resigned after being re-elected.  And, if any current members of the Florida House of Representatives resign to run for this Senate seat, pay for that special election, too.

Completely agree, Charles. What a waste of money all for one self-serving individual. It truly disgusts me how much money was spent on the mid-term elections. Our country has its priorities all wrong. But no one seems to care....and I digress.
