AAF Public Hearing in Stuart draws 800

AAF is starting their FRA required public hearings and tonight was the session in Stuart, Florida.

Most of the press reports are behind paywalls, but the crowds were sizable. The biggest complaint was the format of the hearing.

STUART — All Aboard Florida's public forum for its express passenger rail service entered rough waters in Stuart on Thursday as the area's large boating community angled for answers on the project's impact to waterways and their way of life.

It was the fourth, and busiest so far, of eight draft environmental impact statement meetings for residents to learn more about the unprecedented train service from Miami to Orlando that will operate on the Florida East Coast Railway tracks.
