THE ARC

The Arc Jacksonville is building a 97-unit apartment complex on 32 acres off Hodges Boulevard, just south of Beach Boulevard. They'll be homes for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, said Judy Lanier, director of development. But it's a new program, she said. The residents will live there, but then head elsewhere for jobs, programs, etc.

"The community is designed to make them as independent as possible," she said.

The one- and two-bedroom units will be set up as duplexes and triplexes in 38 villas. Total cost is $21.7 million. Completion is expected fall 2015. Summit Contracting is building it.

LAKEVIEW

Lakeview Health, a private alcohol and drug rehab center, is undergoing a major expansion of its campus at 1900 Corporate Square Blvd., off Southside and Beach boulevards. Permits were issued for three new buildings: administration building, $5.5 million, 7,250 square feet; fitness center, $2,770,000, 10,300 square feet; conference center, $870,000, 3,250 square feet.

Haskell has the contract; completion is expected next year.

TRANSPORTATION

The building permit has been issued for the Northeast Florida Regional Transportation Management Center at 980 N. Jefferson St., just north of State Street. The 20,535-square-foot building will house both the Florida Department of Transportation and the North Florida Transportation Planning Organization. Charles Perry Partners has the $9.07 million project.

■ VyStar Credit Union will open a new branch at 849 Verona Way, St. Augustine on Nov. 6.

■ The 153-room Holiday Isle Oceanfront Resort in St. Augustine Beach will become part of Guy Harvey Outpost Resort & Lodges chain when its current renovation is done next year. Guy Harvey is based in Fort Lauderdale and has resorts in St. Petersburg Beach and Islamorada with another planned for construction in the Galapagos Islands.

SALES

CFI of Atlanta paid $35.35 million for the Remington at Ponte Vedra Lakes apartments in Ponte Vedra Beach. The 336-unit complex was built in 1985. CBRE represented the buyer.

Sierra Building Group of Toronto paid $13.75 million for the Crossroads Square Shopping Center, 8102 Blanding Blvd. The 174,153-square-foot center is anchored by Floor & Décor, Office Depot and Harbor Freight Tools. It last sold for $9.85 million in 2010.

Tzadik Acquisitions of Miami paid $11.9 million for Williamsburg Commons apartments, 9770 Toledo Road. The 50-building complex was built in 1968 and last sold for $7.8 million in 2012.

Dames Point Land Co. of Irvine, Calif., paid $11.75 million for a five-building industrial complex at 9225 Dames Point Road.

Mac Arbor LLC of Aventura paid $6.87 million for Arbor Place Apartments, 5800 Barnes Road. They were built in 1970 and last sold for $4.3 million in 2009.

Big Tree RV Park Inc. of Jacksonville paid $1.9 million for the 9.35-acre Big Tree mobile home park at 5221 Dunn Ave.

Arlington Apt LLC of Fort Pierce paid $1,627,500 for the apartments at 5641 California Ave.
