Of course if this man was Muslim, conveniently this wouldn't be a story for C&L...Every religion has their outcasts and perverts, but currently only one would kill you if you threaten to leave it in many countries; Liberals still look the other way.

I don't understand why so many liberals (many seemingly without religious affiliation) are so PASSIONATELY Anti-Christian; Now if those same people were anti-religion, that would be a different story, but nope Christians (particularity the old white guys in commonplace scandals) are the only problem.

But if there was an epidemic of child fu^&*ing in the american muslim community, you can guarantee that there would be even more coverage.

Well to be fair, I do seem to hear about a lot of crimes against women and beheadings, or the killing of entire families (from American Muslim men).  While not affecting masses like a televangelist can with a congregation of thousands, I can probably scour the past 5 years of national news to easily find as many instances of Muslim men beheading women/children over things like a daughter dating a non-Muslim or having pre-marital sex, or one of the latest, the guy in OK who beheaded a female colleague and went for another, because they were women in public/working/sharing equal rights as men.

I'm personally with Bill Maher on all of this stuff, and if I had to pick a subset of any religion, I'd go with the Anglican/Episcopal Church my parents raised me in, not evangelical Christianity, not Islam, and not really anything else (even the Jews were acting up recently on a flight - some Orthodox Jews refused to sit near any women on a flight to Tel Aviv during Rosh Hashanah).

I find this thread pointless and ridiculous - Stephen, as much as you and I side with each other and pick on I-10east, why are you, as moderator, stooping down to childplay and calling him out on a view you disagree with by manipulating posts/threads to make something more public than it already is?  I doubt anybody cares about this as much as you do.

Christians don't usually molest children either. It's not usual, as in, less than 50% of them do it.

liberals are usually hipsters and like to play devils advocate. Generally speaking of course. It's "cool" to be anit whatever the popular opinion is.

and that is also not to say that people identifying themselves as 'christian' do not also commit pretty horrible crimes in the name of their 'beliefs'.  Yet you will never ever hear I 10 ever mention them in his various random attacks on 'political correctness'.  One supposes because it is considered politically incorrect to mention them at all.

I never said that Christians didn't commit violent crimes, of course they did. Although I personally think that the violent crimes between these two religions are vastly and ridiculously disproportionate to even compare in the modern times.
