I love a good cocktail. I'll settle for the simple bourbon and water, but....I prefer something with more ummmph. I discovered a few craft cocktail bars here in town and I have to tell you that they seem to run neck and neck when it comes to their cocktail making abilities and the quality of their drinks.

I love Sidecar, they make the best. Old Fashioned I have ever tasted. I also love the spot because it's not far from home and the owners are true mixologists that are always finding a way to innovate.

Blacksheep and Orsay would have to come next. They have some good drinks too. The Dusty Boot, sooo yummy and they use an awesome bourbon in it too, Buffalo Trace.

Dos Gatos would be up there too. I believe they were the first craft bar in town. I've been there before, just not on the best night...it was freaking cold outside and my drinks were boring vodka cocktails...not a vodka fan.

Anybody have some other ideas where to get a good craft cocktail here in Jacksonville ?

I enjoy getting drinks at the volstead. Every drink that I've ordered from there has been tasty.

Grape & Grain in San Marco makes a great Vieux Carre, and all their cocktails are all top notch.

Dos Gatos... Orsay,,, Volstead... just discovered Side Car at V Pizza... Grape an Grain.  I still think Orsay Happy Hour best...
In a boat at sea one of the men began to bore a hole in the bottom of the boat. On being remonstrating with, he answered, "I am only boring under my own seat." "Yes," said his companions, "but when the sea rushes in we shall all be drowned with you."
