Judges races are a bit more peculiar in that candidates are limited in what they can say in political speeches, so it makes it hard for voters to decide who they want sitting behind the bench in the wake of Judge Stetson stepping down.

That is an ignorant statement and has been proved wrong on numerous occasions.

Many of those occasions happened here, David Gooding, Ray Lake, Kim Daniels and Clay Yarborough were all significanlty outspent by their opponents and still won. 

Mike Hogan was out spent by both Moran and Mullaney and still managed to best them.  Hogan in turn then outspent Alvin Brown and was defeated.
