Metro Park , River City Challenge and Eco Fest

This is the weekend for the Rivercity Challenge kayak race and Eco Fest (festival) at Metro Park. Last year it was at the fountain and out grew that venue so they moved it.  The kayak race is a 6 mile race that starts at the park goes to a mark off the south bank up toand around Exchange Island then back to the southbank truning mark and return to the park. Kayaks are entered in several classes by boat types and ages of the paddler. There are also canoe and stand up paddleboard classes.

The Eco Fest features bands and booths. Many booths have a conservation theme. Some will of course feature human powered water craft. The bands feature........well I don't know.
