I don't think we're anywhere near "peak beer", in Riverside, in Jacksonville, or the entire state of Florida. Riverside may seem that way because it's so far ahead of the curve among most other Florida neighborhoods, but the market has a lot more room to grow. It's likely that what we'll see in the future will be more places in Riverside that do other things to distinguish themselves from the competition (like Goozlepipes, Brew, or this place), and more traditional beer bar places opening up in other neighborhoods besides Riverside.

While I hope more people learn to enjoy craft beer, I know there will always be those who want the cheap, tasteless stuff but I had a good chuckle Thursday night about one of those said people.

So, I was at Dos Gatos ordering a Gin Julep (One of my favorite drinks there) and this gruff character comes up to the bar and asks what specials the have? The polite bartender let him know they had a blue plate special, a PBR and shot of whisky and a red plate special, a Tecate and shot of tequila. He then proceeds to explain that both of those sound disgusting and are horrible, etc... then proceeds to ask for a bud light and whatever their well bourbon is.

He was kicked out shortly after for falling over and basically being too drunk.

The craft beer market is definitely growing while macro beer, especially light beer, is declining.

There will always be people who don't want to drink craft beer (or beer at all), and there will always be businesses happy to serve them.
