A small family owned business in JAX is in need of 15 local artists.

FreshJax won 8th place overall in the 2013 One Spark competition with their concept of combining healthy food together with fitness all in a fun environment.  They are planning on opening their brick & mortar later this summer where they will team up with local farms and offer farm-to-table dinner parties.  Not only are they helping adults live happier & healthier lives, they are promoting healthier eating with children.  FreshJax is going to publish a 15 page coloring book, and this is why they need your help to promote happy & healthy living with kids.

Contest:  Draw and submit your artistic rendition for just the cover page of this coloring book.  FreshJax will choose the winning submission to be the cover, as well as the top 15 designs.  The top 15 artists from the cover competition will be rewarded with designing 1 of the 15 pages from the storyline.

Storyline:  JAX is a young elephant living in a house with his mom and dad.  He wants to grow up to be big and strong like his dad, so he asks his mom how to do this and she says that he needs to eat his fruits and vegetables.  Armed with this knowledge, he goes out back to grow a garden.  He calls over his friends (could be other elephants or other animals) to help.  Each friend helps JAX plant a different fruit or vegetable.  Themes are:  fun, happy, healthy, and energetic.

Details:  Once the cover page has been selected, the design of the main character should be similar throughout the 15 pages.  Other than that, the artist will have freedom to design freely within a common sense parameter of being appropriate for kids.  Usage rights of submissions become shared property of FreshJax.

Winning Details:  All of the top 15 artists who design a page for the storyline will select $40 worth of FreshJax products for free, and get a free copy of the finished coloring book.  The artist who is selected for the cover page will get an extra $60 worth of FreshJax products for free (total of $100 worth of FreshJax product).

Cover design is due by Tuesday, April 2nd at Midnight.  Artists can submit multiple designs.
