The game will get good ratings because it is still NFL football and it is the only game on. I doubt that many people that would normally watch Thursday Night Footballl are watching The Sound of Music.

One thing that might hurt the Jags game though (besides the obvious bottom feeder status with both teams) is that NFL Network Thursday night hiatus last week (NBC filled in with a Sunday Night Football special on Thanksgiving). Sometimes I be forgetting that TNF games are on. Between some casual football fans, fantasy football junkies, and Texans and Jags fans, plenty will watch. Screw the nat'l perception, I can't wait to go to the Bank tonight. Go Jags!!!

Yeah, I could care less what the ratings are, just happy to be in the stadium. When I am bored and there is nothing to watch, if there is a football game on, don't care who is playing I will watch it.

Game will the lowest rated of the season on the NFL network, not that it particularly matters. Jacksonville is the league's smallest true market. Numbers will be through the roof locally, but nationally, we're not on the radar like many other teams, and it's been a rough season. Big market NBA action (Knicks/Nets and Heat/Bulls) will go opposite the game on TNT, and the Carrie Underwood special will certainly siphon off some female viewers. Really, who cares though, as long as the Jags keep playing like they do.

BUMMED to miss the game tonight, but the wife is almost 39 weeks pregnant, and I think I'd get a serious case of the business if she went into labor halfway into the first quarter :D

Sorry guys. I'll be watching the Heat/Bulls since I don't pay extra to have the NFL Network and going to the game tonight doesn't align with my schedule. Hopefully the Jags will put on a good show tonight!

Thanks, I wasn't for sure if it would be broadcasted locally or not. I'll still be watching the Heat/Bulls but the game will be on at the house.  My son is a big Jags fan.

I am going and I urge others to do so as well. If you want to hate on me for urging go ahead it's a free country.

Not to mention the Texans are just as bad. So yeah, this ratings for this game wont be much.
Jaguars 2.0

We (Jax Truckies) are moving Food Truck Alley to the South End Zone tonight with live music from Split Tone and Charlie Walker along the FREE BEER at the Bud Light Beer Garden to go with tailgate games, cheerleaders and Jaguar alumnis signing autographs.

This is how prime time gets done!

The NFL Network games usually finish third in the weekly cable ratings behind Monday Night Football and Walking Dead.  These NFL games usually get about 7 million viewers.

Wrong decision, friend :D

NBC won the broadcast overnight ratings with Sound of Music pulling a 4.6 share and 18 million viewers. Largest non sports share in 5 years. Just for context, NBC had a 20 share in Oklahoma City, home state of Carrie.

Overnight cable ratings come out later today. We will see how TNF fared against the world.

spuwho

Overnight ratings for cable showed TNF on NFL was #1 on cable with a 1.7 share and about 4.6M viewers overall. Far ahead of NBA on TNT with a 0.9 share and 2.2M viewers.

I would say Jacksonville got great exposure nationally regardless of what the sports press says.
