Motion Sweets open in Five Points

For those with a craving for fresh-baked treats, there's a new option in Jacksonville's Five Points neighborhood: Motion Sweets.

Inside the bakery, rows of colorful cupcakes, cookies and more are lined up on the counter behind a glass partition, showcasing the work of baker Megan Suggs, who owns the restaurant with her husband, Adrian.

The bakery, at 1020 Park St., is third concept to open at the storefront next to Tasti D-lite in the past 12 months, including Spot 5 on Park and the recently closed Amy's Café.

But the couple, both in their mid-30s, come to the neighborhood after more than a year of perfecting their recipes and building their brand at the Pecan Park Flea & Farmers' Market on Jacksonville's Northside.
