Okay, I must admit I didn't see this coming.  Who would have imagined that Jacksonville would rank in the top half of a recent survey of Americas Safest Driving Cities?   :o

QuoteDespite what you might think about Jacksonville drivers, they're really not the worst. They're actually better than half the drivers in the country's 200 largest cities, according to Allstate Insurance Co.'s ninth annual "America's Best Drivers Report."
Jacksonville ranked 12th in population and was 73rd in the ranking of safest-driving cities. That was an improvement over the 2012 rank of 82nd. The average Jacksonville driver will experience an accident every 9.7 years (compared to every 13.9 years for Fort Collins, Colo., which has the safest drivers). The national average is every 10 years.
This is the third time in the report's history that Fort Collins has held the top spot. The worst drivers, according to the Allstate report, drive in Washington, D.C. and Baltimore. Also near the bottom of the list is Miami, ranked 187th
