YouTube Spectator:  Jax Coming Out Monologues, June 21st & 22nd, Karpeles Manuscript Museum, 101 W. First Street, 7 pm to 9 pm.  Jax community members are collaborating on a storytelling event that will change our community.  ’Coming Out Monologues’ (COM) is a community inspired, community created and community led theatrical production made of spoken word performances, artistic and moving monologues, musical performance and enlightening narration.  COM is similar to Vagina Monologues except that EACH monologue is written by actual community members telling their ‘coming out’ stories. Individuals writing monologues may wish to ‘perform’ their own piece during the production or turn it over for another community (amateur) actor â€" either way, the stories are told.

Those interested in joining Jax Scriblerians can send a sample of their work to jaxsatire@zoho.com. The sample should be humorous, if not satirical, but need not focus on Jacksonville. It should make its point within 800 words; videos should be short (no more than 2-3 minutes).
