The Peel Channeler channels the spirit of the late, legendary BBC One disc jockey John Peel by calling attention to recently uploaded music videos.   The Channeler looks for YouTube videos with fewer than one million views, and much fewer if possible.  If the videos the Channeler chose now register more than one million hits, the bulk of them came after selection.  On his late-evening Radio 1 program, Peel played the music of unsigned bands and bands outside the mainstream.  Peel’s show served as an outlet for the music of the UK underground.  He was known for his eclectic taste and his honest and warm broadcasting style.

Those interested in joining Jax Scriblerians can send a sample of their work to jaxsatire@zoho.com. The sample should be humorous, if not satirical, but need not focus on Jacksonville. It should make its point within 800 words; videos should be short (no more than 2-3 minutes).
