Metro Jacksonville's Ennis Davis has been selected by Next City to be a part of their 2013 Vanguard Class. Next City is a non-profit media organization dedicated to connecting cities and informing the people who work to improve them.

Congrats ! 

I wonder when the powers that be in Jax will come to appreciate all that he has to offer this city, instead of so often working against the improvements he is trying to facilitate.

Thanks, everyone.  I'm looking forward to meeting and learning from some of the brightest minds in the US and Canada.  My hope is to pick up some ideas, concepts and strategies from others and in Cleveland that are applicable for our grass roots efforts in enhancing urban Jacksonville's quality-of-life.  I'm the only representative from Florida and one of a few from the south, so hopefully I represent Jacksonville well.
