PERSONAL INTRO & ANXIOUS TO GET STARTED

Hello to all:
"Fourkeys" and his family of three is anxious to learn the "ropes" of this forum and to explore it fully before asking previously answered questions. Until then I hope this first post is in the correct format and any tips will be welcomed.  Have lived in Raleigh, NC for the past two years, retired in February and am currently attempting to relocate to Northest Florida. Originally longtime resident of Central "upstate" NY and spent several years in the metro NYC area. Lived briefly in Boynton Beach before moving to Raleigh and over the years have visited the FL West coast from Crystal River to Miami, the East coast from Miami to Port St Lucie and parts of Central Florida (Gainsville, Ocala, Orlando). As such, I'm familiar with the pros and con's of Florida living and have accepted both as being nothing is perfect but try to find the shoe that fits best. I'm hoping that Northeast FL will offer the combination of ingredients that will fit best and that this forum will prove beneficial in that regard. Perhaps I can contribute to it as well.
