Sounds good to me:

QuoteSamuel Linn and Devon Nolan, principals of The Volstead, have signed a 10-year lease for 2,575 square feet at 115 W. Adams St., next to Pho in the W.A. Knight Building

Great news. Is the tiger mural Shaun Thurston painted in there is still up?

It's the empty space next door to Pho, in the Knight Lofts building.

Do you believe that when the blue jay or another bird sings and the body is trembling, that is a signal that people are coming or something important is about to happen?

Downtown nightlife is a far cry from 10 years ago.

(SNL's grumpy old man impression) "Back in my day we had one bar, London Bridge" Yuengling was the trendy new beer. You could still play the jukebox with quarters and street parking was plentiful at night. That's the way it was and we liked it!"

It's great to see new venues opening up shop.

David, just wait. I'm sure someone will be grumpy that it's a bar opening up and complaining that only bars open downtown.

FYI, Looks like it will be called the Volstead (Someone created another post about this)

Anyways, with this and a new addition to Dos Gatos downtown nightlife is slowly getting better.

rofl... Hey ... that could be me!  (One of the original..."Bridgetrolls"!)  But I love hearing about new places downtown... I frequent as many as possible!
In a boat at sea one of the men began to bore a hole in the bottom of the boat. On being remonstrating with, he answered, "I am only boring under my own seat." "Yes," said his companions, "but when the sea rushes in we shall all be drowned with you."

Don't forget Burrito Gallery expansion.

Wow, Adams is gonna be bar/restaurant central. Can Bay Street get any love? I know the reality of that is that there's very few empty spots on Bay though :/
