Spoke with a gentleman this morning, while walking the dogs, who is considering opening a Pho restaurant in the old Yo'nilla space in the center of the 5 Points strip.  He is from New Orleans most recently, Vietnam originally.

He says he want it to be completely open from front to back so that all of the food preparation and serving is on display.  Fast casual concept, order at the counter, food delivered to your table.

Since the only other Pho restaurants in town are way out in the boonies, this would be a great addition to the city center.
When all else fails hug the dog.

Pho: A Noodle Bar is Downtown and pretty yummy. Opened less than a year ago in the former Chew space.

That would be the best 5 Point news, to me, in eons. Considering I drive to Baymeadows and Mayport Road for Vietnamese, this would be amazing.

Maybe it's just me, but this place really doesn't do it for me. That being said, I love Indochine.

Oops!  (To quote a Texas politician)  Didn't know about that one.

Try Saigon Times Vietnamese Cuisine at 662 Cassat Ave its just south of I-10, 3.8 miles from 5 Points.
The Pho is very good as are the Bun (rice noodle salads) and the grilled pork Bahn Mi.
She also has a very well stocked Vietnamese/Asian grocery next door.
The grocery store has good mixed meat Bahn Mi and Viet crepes to go in the weekends.
Everyone I have taken there goes back.
