Jax Violent Crime Down, Crime w/guns up

This is an interesting report considering many of the ongoing discussions about guns and crime.  The good news is that violent crime in Jacksonville is down.  The not so good news is that crimes that take place with a gun present during the crime are up.  In response to this a gun buyback program is underway here.  What has the Sheriff and the JSO concerned is that suspects carrying guns in these times seem far more likely to actually use them then in the past.  Police note that burglaries of firearms are also up.  See the other articles connected to this one.  Interesting information.
