This election is over as we all know.  You may also remember that long time County Clerk Jim Fuller had tried to run for office again even though he was termed out.  There was a legal court opinion rendered and shortly following that Fuller backed off his attempts at re-election.  Fuller then publicly stated that he felt he had been unfairly attacked.  Now the T.U. has just posted a piece discussing the fact that new County Clerk Ronnie Fussell has reversed the designated staff raises ordered by Fuller in his last days as well as questioning other expenditures.  This situation has now caught the attention of City Ethics leadership, Councilman Crescimbeni and the City's office of General council.  It's not looking too good for Mr. Fuller.  Interestingly former Councilman Ronnie Fussell and now Duval County Clerk has openly said that Mr. Fuller's use of Clerk office funds for private legal council was just wrong and I agree.  Funny thing is I seem to remember that the City of Jacksonville picked up Mr. Fussell's legal bills for the Grand Jury Investigation into Ethics violations a few years back.  It was to the tune of $38,000.00 or so I believe.  Much of that going to pay the bills he ran up with top attorney Hank Cox (as well as other councilmember's legal bills).   Mr. Fussell didn't mention this during his critique of the Fuller expenses.  The old saying "The pot calling the kettle black" comes to mind.
