Hello Everyone

My name is Jeremy Tidwell.
     I wanted to say hello to everyone because I am one of the newest interns with Metrojacksonville.com and in the near future I will be writing articles and forum material for the site.
     Currently, I am a student at UNF studying Literature with a minor in Film. I am also a local filmmaker and artist. I worked for the old 5 Points Theatre, currently Sunray Cinema, for three years and in that time met a lot of great individuals and companies looking to further expand the filmmaking environment of the area.
     In my time here I have made a few short films, the most recent one being The Deadbeats, which has allowed me the opportunity to collaborate with many talented people. I also completed a feature film a few years ago called The Hatchet Sisters. All of the films were shot in the Jacksonville area with the help of local businesses and crew.
     So, I will be researching and offer some insight into the independent film scene around the area and the artists who work within it. I look forward to shedding some light onto the individuals who are passionate about film and are striving to reinvigorate the independent film landscape of Jacksonville.

Welcome aboard! If you want to kayak and fish under the brand new No Fishing signs that was never before Waterways Downtown let me know. Lots of new graffiti under the TU and I'll show you that too. All the best.

Thank you everyone for welcoming me to the forum. I hope to be able to add to your discussions and maybe offer some cool new things as far as the independent film scene goes.
