I agree with Debbie.  It is tough to make meetings during the day.  Paying jobs get in the way.  But I sure do appreciate it when others go and fill us in.  Thanks!

Hasn't some of the TIF funds from the past been diverted to other things?

Great question.

Jacksonville Waterways FIND Committee meeting in two hours on the Secret list that will have massive and HUGE ramifications for our new DIA and CRA in the USA.

Anyone going?

9:30 4th floor city hall open to the PUBLIC

Noone

Only 2 people from the PUBLIC was at the Secret Jacksonville Waterways Commission Committee meeting on the 2013 FIND grant project list that will and should have DIA and CRA oversight on certain listed projects.

Board meeting of the DIA in 7 hours?
Will there be a presentation by Denise Lee for Hemming Plaza?
Will our new Branding be announced?

2012-674 is on the Agenda. Free Parking for everyone. Especially city council members.

Anyone going?

Noone

So what happened with 2012-674 at city council last night?

Noone

Does anybody know what happened to the DIA legislation last night after an appearance by Mia Jones, Chris Hand, Lori Boyer, Doyle Carter to 2012-674 at the DIA Board meeting and subsequent city council meeting?

No problem. Hope the MJ team may be able to make some of the future ones and not just the bells and whistle photo ops.

Doug, Hope you share some perspective.
A new Authority.
Embrace it.
Or
It will embrace us.

Lake or anyone, How about the TIF remark?

noone.  we count both you and doug as the mj team. :)

Stephen, 8 days out from the next DIA Board meeting 2pm city hall 1st floor. Would you consider writing a check for a buck to 2009-442 that can be presented to the Jacksonville Waterways Commission at the 9:30 am meeting. This isn't the only opportunity and won't be the last but what a message to send.

I dont understand what you are asking me to do, Noone?

I think Noone is asking you to make a $1 donation for the bill to help the trust #2009-442 known as the "Artificial Reef Trust Fund." Even a dollar in there would make it valid and eligable for future donations. I assume this has to do with maintaining conservationism and opening up the St. Johns River to the people?

Just write a check for a $1.00
Make it out to the city of Jacksonville.
Write 2009-442 on the check.
Also write Artificial Reef Trust Fund on the check.
You will immediately make an impact and we will be joining Mayor Brown in making Downtown A Destination and not a pass through when it comes to our St. Johns River our American Heritage River a Federal Initiative.

Anyone going? Today at 2 first floor city hall.

This CRA plan is going to define much of what happens in Downtown for the foreseeable future.  DIA needs (and wants) as much public participation as possible.  If you have posted ideas on this forum for Downtown in the past, this is your opportunity to put them in motion.

May Mayor Brown and the DIA have as much success here as Rick Baker had in St. Pete.
