William C. “Chris” Pettry was murdered in Jacksonville, Florida, Sunday morning, October 7, 2012. The citizens of Jacksonville wish to show they are united with Mrs. Pettry and her family in this most tragic time. One way for us to do that is to put our money where our mouths are. It is not enough to say, "I am sorry for your loss." We are sorry, but now we need to show that sorrow in a tangible way. Karen Pettry is a stay-at-home mom. Chris had his own business and provided for the family. Through a violent, senseless act, Chris can no longer provide for Karen and their three children. I told Karen the citizens of Jacksonville "have your back." And you all are steady provin' it! Please give her a helping hand. It doesn't matter what you can give. $5, $10, $100 - it doesn't matter. Do what you can do. We can't bring Chris back, but we can maybe ease the sting of his passing on Karen and the kids. Thank you.
