Interesting. It would be interesting to hear what Linea will say about this.

Whose "they"?? Linea? Apparently they're not involved anymore. It's a Pennsylvania company now.

Given the amount of money one would have to put into those buildings and the limited floor plates, turning them into apartments isn't a easy thing to pull off.  If one wanted to convert an old building into apartments, they'd be better off going after the Ambassador, old JEA building, Furchgotts, or Monticello Drug Company buildings.

The Barnett building should be apartments.

^I didn't recognize that they put the Barnett under contract as well.  I glanced at the thread title, saw "Trio" and went from there.  Out of the four buildings, it's the only one that could be.  It could work as a hotel or mix of several uses as well.

Maybe the PA firm is partnered with Linea, LLC.  From the looks of it, it doesn't sound like Linea, LLC has the money on its own to buy the trio or we would have had heard more news by now, surely (it's been 3 years now, right?).  If there is a partnership perhaps Linea plays the Developer role.

I keep hearing third hand rumors (somebody I know, knows somebody who knows) that Shah Kahn is behind some of the companies that are negotiating to buy downtown properties.

Sounds like someone's hopes, like mine, turned into stories, but we can at least hope it is so.

I've heard similar rumors, but not khan, these were a rich family from up north. Descendants of the Rockefellers or something lol.

No, it's a 10-story Wendy's restaurant being developed by Sleiman because of the mobility fee moratorium. Expect 1,000 jobs to be created and all the drywall installers in town to be employed again.

A 10-story Wendy's around the corner from me?

Could it possibly be?
