In a glorious announcement, it was revealed that HSR will be coming to connect Eustis and Tavares Florida. ::) ::)

Per Trains Magazine;

TAVARES, Fla. â€" The Tavares, Eustis & Gulf Railroad is welcoming home its Baldwin 2-6-0 No. 2 this month. The locomotive has been in Arkansas for its annual inspection since May. It will return to passenger service on the railroad on Saturday, Sept. 15.

The announcement has been hailed by many as a victory to the ability of the private sector to fund and operate HSR in such a critical metro corridor. The CEO to the TE&G RR was unavailable for comment because he was too busy feeding the boiler for the next passenger run.

Gov. Rick Scott was unavailable for comment, but Rep. John Mica was excited that he didn't have to lobbied by a single soul for this new chapter in Florida transportation. "If only we had more enterprising people like the ones who run the TE&G RR, who don't pull on my coat strings to make another HSR proposal" ;) ;)
