Pontiffication

First of all, a word of thanks to the owners, staff and moderators of this forum.  I have been lurking for some time and have found the content amusing and informative.

I grew up on the north side, settled down in the Ft. Caroline area for a bit, then moved to Atlanta for 20 years.   During these years I gradually came to appreciate my home city.  With my fiance (now wife) we made quite a few trips down here to visit my aging mother, other family members and friends.  Originally from Oklahoma, she came to adore the place.

Last year, we made the decision to move here, and made the transition by January of this year.  Though I still work for a company in Atlanta and travel back fairly frequently, I have further come to appreciate the area and it's people.  I encourage everyone who is down on this city to move to Atlanta for a few years, deal with the endless gridlock, stressed out and rude people, then come back and report to us ha ha.

We live in the Town Center which in spite the name is anything but metro, but is convenient while the spouse attends UNF.  Once she graduates, we have discussed making the move out to the beaches.

I am a professional Linux geek, MMA fanatic, Jaguars fan, bar fly and appreciate craft brewed beers way more than I should.  I know better than to get involved in political discussions but often can't help myself, especially when under the influence of the previously mentioned brews.  Disagreements should be aired respectfully, though sarcasm is appreciated as a high art form.

I look forward to getting to know you all better.

Craft Brewed Beers you say!  I know what you mean.  I am drinking a Longhammer IPA as I write.  Welcome.

In a boat at sea one of the men began to bore a hole in the bottom of the boat. On being remonstrating with, he answered, "I am only boring under my own seat." "Yes," said his companions, "but when the sea rushes in we shall all be drowned with you."
