Chef Arden must be reopening her Hamilton St. location (behind Crispers on Roosevelt) soon it appears according to banner. The lady that bought that location ran the thing into a wall weeks after Arden left.

It isn't the healthiest of dining on a daily basis but for that periodic urge of mom and grandma, or cure of a hangover it sure fits the bill of gravy, meat and fresh veggies.

It was also way cool to do business with a Lady who gives AA, NA and fresh out of trouble folks a chance at a job. They are happy to get to work every day and it always showed.

After the change in ownership.... I went for Chicken Smothered in Love and they truly butchered it, you aren't kidding when you say they ran it into a wall.

Glad to hear they are reopening!

Arden and Michelle opened up last Wednesday. I went yesterday and things were busy. They reconfigured the center area, added another bar and rounded up some of the old help. New carpet and a soothing color selection on walls are a welcome sight. Things are better than ever including the food. Besides all of the classics she masters so well 6 different chicken wings were available (fresh chix wings not frozen) on the buffet and 5 or 6 baked desserts expanded selections beyond the normally dizzying array of cookies, pies, cake and ice cream. The salad bar is at least twice the size for those bravely trying to behave themselves in this place.

On the good news/ bad news front they had to close their Beaver St location. That puts one of the best food service teams anywhere exactly where they should be. Arden in back and Michelle up front leading the team. Lucky us.

M-F 10-3 Sundays 11-5
$8.95
$10.95 Fri. (seafood buffet)
* I think these are their old prices too :)

They also started up their frequent flyer card too. 10 paid- 1 free
