Jax Truckies will be bringing a new food truck to this year's game.  If you haven't been before, it's a great way to spend 4th of July:  throwback baseball with downtown as your outfield backdrop.

Join your friends & neighbors (and make new friends) for the annual July 4th Throwback Baseball Game in Springfield's Klutho Park on Wednesday, July 4th @ 3pm.

This is a 100% unique tradition to the Springfield historic district and features the Westside v Eastside in a battle royale of old-school baseball, complete with PA announcer. That's right, early 1900's uniforms and equipment are used, paying homage to the neighborhood's character.

I wonder if the Mayor is going to stop by again? Where will te food trucks be parked?

Just one truck (the newest one in Jax, moved here from DC area) and it will be parked in front of the bandstand.

I'm missing the Orsay 4th of July bbq for this, so that should be all you need to know as far as my personal seal of approval goes.

I doubt the mayor will be there again.  Would be nice though.  Great idea on getting the truck there.  Will be a lot of fun again.

East Side!
So I said to him: Arthur, Artie come on, why does the salesman have to die? Change the title; The life of a salesman. That's what people want to see.

Bumping this up so everyone knows where to be on the 4th!  The game should be over just in time to hit up Art Walk if you are so inclined.

The field is prepped and ready to go.

Prediction: The Eastside Reds dominate the Westside Giants yet again.
