3 million for JSO

I just came from council meeting, and they approved 3 million dollars for extra overtime for cops. It equates to about 70 cops for 4 to 5 months, and last year when it was in place reduced murder by about 38%
so say 152 devided by 12, which is 12.6, times 4.5 is 57, and at 38% of that it means it saved about 21.6 lives....
so lets's round down and say 20 lives get saved, that means the price of human life is about $150,000 per person.....  That's the price of human life in Jacksonville.
Still, if it is your kid that dies, it's worth it.
We have a long way to go. It's going to take education and action.
And it is so funny that so many people who complain about crime and the murder rate and yet do nothing but spout words at the problem.

Now all we need is to revamp education.... right?
